Rational Response Squad vs. Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron

I'll do my bit to spread around Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron's embarrassment. Here is the "debate" between the Rational Response Squad and Comfort/Cameron. It is occasionally painful to watch, hehe. Were I given to feeling bad for idiots who intentionally put themselves in harm's way, I'd feel sorry for them. But I don't. So, here's the video, at any rate:

And because, y'know, if you don't know who Ray Comfort is, you can look here - because we all know a banana is an atheist's worst nightmare!

Funny stuff! This guy, this Ray Comfort guy, with failed child actor Kirk Cameron, decided to offer to "prove" without reference to the Bible the scientific reality of god! Like I said, it was almost painful to watch, but was funny, instead.

I couldn't watch the whole thing, it was too painfully embarrasing.

I actually found this highlight reel a little hard to watch because the sound editing was so bad. If I turned it up enough to hear what they were saying clearly, the applause would hurt my ears. So, I went to Youtube and looked it up. I found the full Dateline edit of the thing. Much better sound, but you've got to put up with the fact that Dateline edited it for content.

Also, the Dateline one is in five parts, and so about twice as long.

Sorry, I thought they were five five minute parts, but some of them were longer, so more than twice as long.

Stew,

It was painful. But they literally asked for it. They're the ones who issued the challenge.

At the very end, the RRS guys were actually a little sorry, themselves, because they don't have hostility for the persons of Comfort and Cameron and they felt they'd beaten them up. But what are we supposed to do? Let them "kill us with kindness"? People like Comfort and Cameron are working to dismantle, here in America, scientific reasoning. To a shocking extent, they've been successful -- something like half of all school-aged children don't believe in evolution.

Maybe I'm ranting at the wrong person, hehe, but I feel we Americans must stand up to these people even if it is occasionally ugly. Because if we let their hang dog demeanors stay our hands, well, history has amply demonstrated when the shoe is on the other foot they won't stop from dismantling secular education and government.

Which might come off harsher than I mean it, so I hope you understand. ;)
