Becomin' a Webcam Ho

So, since it's May Day, I'm not really doing any work. It appears I'm becoming something of a webcam ho, however, because I've been doing webcam stuff. I've made two videos today. Both of them are responses to other people's stuff. Heaven knows I love mouthing off. Perhaps after a few more of these I'll actually get good at it.

Here's the first:

This is a response to a Christian who asked questions about the falsifibility of natural selection and DNA as the criteria of life.

Here's the second:

It's a video response to a text comment to my video about if atheists hate god where he proposes stuff like if gay people are allowed to marry it infringes on his rights as a Christian. Which is a silly argument, but common, I find.

Tomorrow I'm going to actually post a short story written in the fashion of Simon Peter, called "Immaculate Conception". It deals with the, ahem, birth of Jesus Christ, told in the way I am telling the story of Simon Peter. Unlike the other things I've posted here, it actually is pretty short, being about 4200 words. And after that, I promise I'll have a few more days of text content.

It is contrary to his christian beliefs.

What many religious people fail to recognize is that allowing something which is contrary to their beliefs, is not an infringement on their beliefs.

They still have the right to believe what they want - what they don't have, is the right to demand that everyone else share their belief.

It still means that christians can live their lives according to their christian beliefs. But by trying to demand that all others share the belief and act upon it, means that they are demanding that everyone be a christian.

They are in fact demanding that everyone act as if they were a christian, whether they are or not.

ha ha! the second video totally cracked me up! I had funny visions in my head of a world gone mad from a fearful anal Christians point of veiw.
I guess Monty Phython has done some of that already?

anyway, am looking forward to your short story.

Beep,

Oh, yeah, I know it's contrary to his beliefs, but I was talking about why atheists were angry at Christians -- because they shove their beliefs down our throats. As you said. And, of course, you're right about the rest of it, too. ;)

L>T,

I'm glad I got laughs! I wish I was actually funnier, but when I try to be funny with this stuff I end up being cruel, which I don't want to do. For me to be funny without being hurtful requires me to be emotionally uninvolved with the subject -- and I rarely write about things I'm not emotionally involved with, alas.

I TOLD you about not getting involved in the YouTube Atheist scene. You will spend forever making video responses to lunatics like Glen Rebb and Miles Bateman. You will whore yourself around commenting on other athesit channels to up your subscribers. You will end up making videos of your cats.

Stew,

I hope that the Immaculate Conception story regains your trust in me as a hard-hitting guy layin' it out on the line. ;)

And I don't even own a cat!
