Kurt Vonnegut is dead

Kurt Vonnegut is dead. He was one of the greatest English language writers of the 20th century, a man of wit, honestly, compassion and integrity. He left the world a better place than he found it, and he will be missed.

I've just seen this, on the Telegraph news website. I couldn't stop a "OH NO!" coming from my lips. What a blow.
This will spark a Vonnegut retrospective reading marathon. I loved Galapagos, Breakfast of Champions, Player Piano, Deadeye Dick. I love the way "passing thru" characters in one novel bocome major players in another.

I am in mourning, also. I loved Welcome to the Monkey House. :(

I'm going to read Cat's Cradle.
